• Replace tyre or inner tube - £10 (tube not included)

• True wheel - £17 if in bike, £12 if not

• Fit tubeless tyre (inc. sealant) - £15​

• Spoke replacement - priced as per wheel, depending on spoke required and type of wheel

The are two things to try.

Firstly, try asking your company to up the limit. They may have set it low as they don't really understand the cost of a modern bicycle. Just because you think they'll say "No", doesn't mean they won't listen to your well argued reasoning.

Secondly, don't worry. We can still help you get your dream bike. We can invoice the scheme to it's full amount, and then invoice yourself for the remainder. It's not as ideal as the first option above, but you still get the bike you want at a decent discount.

The scheme says that you should be able to commute to work on occasions.

However, the reality is that most people who use the scheme never commute by bike. The key takeaway is that studies show that people who exercise regularly are more productive at work. This means they make their employer more money, hence more tax is generated for the government.

Buying a bike through a cycle to work scheme generally means that everybody wins.

As such, no one will actually check that you use the bike for commuting.
