When the tarmac runs out, just keep going. Gravel bikes are a hoot. Barely any slower on road to a road bike, tons of grip, plus the ability to hammer along farm tracks and single trail faster than a mountain bike.

Fancy going bike packing? Most gravel bikes have loads of mounting points so you can get back to nature with a bit of wild camping (or carry a change of clothes for the B&B).
